Pray diligently for your students and your class.2. Communicate with parents: At the start of the class, send a brief note to parents with a summary of the class. Make classroom expectations known. Give regular feedback on their child’s participation in the class, especially difficult spiritual questions/issues their child presents. Encourage parents to assist their children in catechism/Scripture memory work. 3. Carefully prepare to teach. 4. Encourage spiritual disciplines: Help students to keep up with the church Scripture memory program by reviewing in class and encourage daily private worship.5. Be accountable to the Youth Sunday School Committee (under the guidance of the Session.) 6. Present your plans to the YSSC for communicating with parents regarding the class.7. Be faithful to use the curriculum or materials agreed upon and provided. 8. Be faithful to the schedule—teach when agreed upon and step back when off the schedule.9. Ask for help when you need it for any reason, including class behavioral issues, communication issues with parents, curriculum issues, staffing issues, classroom supplies, etc.10.
